Twittamentary.com, the official Twitter documentary website, developed by Michael Slatoff from Electric Brain and filmmaker Siok Siok Tan , is live.
Michael is an experienced web developer and CEO of Hong Kong-based web design and development company Electric Brain. He has worked with clients such as DreamWorks, Alvarion, Excelsus and Nationwide Garments and many other respected brands. He is also President of Expatacular, a social network of expatriates living and working all over the world. He brings his expertise in outsourced web development and understanding of social media to the building of the Twittamentary movie website.
The documentary, directed by Singaporean filmmaker, Tan, Siok Siok, is to be created in the open spirit of the Web. The movie website is therefore a highly interactive platform for Twitter users to share their stories, contribute ideas and even add media and videos to enrich the documentary content. Michael built the website on a Drupal platform, with customized modules that help turn the creative vision of the filmmaker into a reality.
According to Michael, "The challenge of working on the Twittamentary website is not the level of technical difficulty, but rather how to make it easy, fun and inspiring for Twitter users to plunge in and submit their ideas and tell their stories. In coming up with the design and layout of the website, we made subtle references to the Twitter iconography, visuals and symbols that all Twitter users are familiar with, without simply copying them. "
Michael also worked closely with Professor Lonnie Hodge, Asia digital marketing expert; award winning writer and CEO of social media company CFM, to optimize the site for search engines and social media.
