Location, location, location!  The year 2010 is the year of geo-location based applications such as Foursquare and Twitter has also added location based features.  But will the combination of real-time web and geolocation info increase the vulnerability of Twitter'ers to stalking online and in real life?
This story about cyberstalking comes to us through Twitter'er Jesse Luna who had the 'creepy' experience of being stalked on Foursquare and Twitter: 

My Twitter story is about connections and new opportunities. I had been in the tech consulting industry for a couple of years when I started my blog www.socialnerdia.com to explore the convergence of tech, marketing, and social media. I wanted to learn about people I admired so I started to reach out to them. On Twitter. I soon started interviewing them via email, video, and a podcast. Most of the people I interviewed agreed to do so via Twitter.

All different cultures are brought together via Twitter. People who have a small group of friends ,but then end up in a search and pull others from all over the world.

We used Twitter for language learning at the distant college of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Our adult learners seldom have contact to native speakers and only few opportunities to practice English (and only limited time). So, we taught them how to use Twitter and "recommended" to twitter at least  5 times a week.
